Hunting season in Black Creek is about to begin.

It was way back in March of 2015 when we first got our eyes on James Crow’s Curse of the Witching Tree. It was a spooky and methodical tale that gave us an early tip that Crow was a budding filmmaker worth keeping an eye on. Flash forward to July of 2016, and it’s apparent that the man is in high demand. Crow currently has not one, not two, but three films in various states of production, and we’re here to give you the first look at his latest, BLACK CREEK.

While plot details are still being kept largely under wraps, we can report that the film will follow a brother and sister who take the ashes of their dead father out to the woods with several friends after a hunting accident. When a series of gruesome murders take hold of a local town, it becomes clear that the stories of a demonic Native American spirit that eats human souls may be more than just legend.

Sounds cool to me, right?

What’s particularly noteworthy about this release is that it marks the U.S. debut from Crow and features Wisconsin’s own Chris O’flying as the lead. Michael Copon (Power Rangers, One Tree Hill, Scorpion King 2), Kaylee Williams , and former teen British star Robert Lowe are locked in for the production as well.

We’ll have more news for you guys in the near future, but check out the debut poster below while we wait:
