From the Producer of Insidious and Paranormal Activity....

Ever get tired of hearing that line? I know I do, but you can’t deny that it has power and meaning. Blumhouse has positioned itself as the premiere production house in the horror genre. They have money…probably lots of it… and with that comes the ability to acquire talent that the genre may not see on a regular basis. You know, like Kevin Bacon. Of course Bacon has humble roots in one of our most beloved franchises and even delivered one hell of a performance in James Wan’s Death Sentence…and Stir of Echoes. But he’s not exactly a staple of the genre. That’s what makes 6 Miranda Drive so exciting.

Well…one of the things.

Blumhouse + Bacon + Greg Mclean ÷ Ghosts = Must Watch

Did I mention it’s being directed by Greg Mclean? If you’re unfamiliar, he’s the fella that wrote and directed both Wolf Creek films. So yeah, Blumhouse + Kevin Bacon + Greg Mclean ÷ Ghosts = ….Must Watch? Let’s hope so.

Here’s what we know so far:

The film is based on what are said to be actual events about a family who visit the Grand Canyon and bring home more than a few t-shirts and refrigerator magnets, namely a supernatural force that feeds off their fears and takes over their lives.

Greg Mclean has said, “The story is based on a true story that was relayed to me first-hand many years ago about an actual haunting.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. As far as I know, the film is still slated for a 2015 release. Stay tuned.
