Initially released as a short, free game back in 2012, Ivan Zanotti’s pixelated meta horror game has now become a full fledged game thanks to Steam Greenlight’s voting system.  While the game has a very crude aesthetic compared to most modern games, don’t let this deter you.  Zanotti develops creepy atmosphere despite the pixelated graphics.

How?  As the player, you actually are the protagonist in this quirky first person meta game.  It becomes a surreal experience as you search for keys and solve puzzles, trying to escape the nightmare.  It’s not so simple as that, though, as the game will literally try to deceive you, going so far as to act as an invasive virus on your PC to either help your endeavors or screw with your mind.  The further you progress in the game, the harder it will try to mess with you.  And that’s all I’m going to tell you, because the less you know going in, the better.
