Remember back when we first shared the insanely promising Friday the 13th fan project, NEVER HIKE ALONE? Well unfortunately, they didn’t quite hit their crowdfunding goal. But do you think that stopped them? Just like Jason Voorhees himself, the team at Womp Stomp Films headed back into the woods to wreak havoc once again. This time, they returned with footage so incredible that they were able to secure a bit of private financing outside of the crowdfunding space, but they still need your help to cross the finish line.

To celebrate Friday the 13th, NEVER HIKE ALONE has opened a brand new Kickstarter that is only seeking a modest amount of completion funds. The same rules apply as last time. They are unable to profit in any way from this release, so any unused funds will be donated to charity as was always intended.

Plot Synopsis
Never Hike Alone is a 22-minute short film that follows the story of KYLE MCLEOD (Andrew Leighty), an avid backcountry hiker who, while on a solo backpacking trip, discovers the long lost remains of CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE. Ignoring the old campfire ghost stories from his childhood, Kyle’s curious nature draws him in to see what is left of the camp since it was closed after the infamous 1980 Friday the 13th murders.
