Warner Bros and New Line Cinema just released the first trailer for the full length feature based on David F. Sandberg’s terrifying short film.  A lot of what made the short so effectively creepy in the 2013 short still works well in this trailer, and it looks like we can expect some interesting mythology surrounding the haunting entity.

Between the stellar foundation on which this feature is based, that James Wan’s Atomic Monster production company produced, and that the studio feels confident in the product enough to release it smack dab in the middle of blockbuster season, it seems as though we may have something special to look forward to.

Lights Out will be released in theaters July 22nd, 2016.  Check out the trailer below.

Plot Synopsis
The story centers on a supernatural entity attacking a family, with one of the members required to step up to protect them from a threat that can be seen only when the lights go out
