The Wolf Creek films have seen a surprising amount of success over the years. While there have only been two released to date, they both offer a wide spread of tonally-varying modern horror. For fans of the franchise, news of a pending 3rd film was reason enough to rejoice, but then word began to spread about a potential miniseries. Now, finally, we have some concrete details to share: Aussie fright icon Mick Taylor will return on Australian streaming service Stan next year in a 6 episode run, and it sounds like the series is getting the push it deserves.

It appears to follow a 19-year-old girl named Eve who survives one of Taylor’s massacres. Eve then turns the usual franchise tropes on their heads as she starts to rebuild her life and begins making plans to exact her revenge on the maniac.

Eve is portrayed by Lucy Fry (Vampire Academy and Mako: Island of Secretsand is joined by Deborah Mailman (Offspring and Redfern Now), Miranda Tapsell (Love Child), Dustin Clare (Spartacus: War Of The Damned), Jessica Tovey (Wonderland), Jake Ryan (Wentworth), and Richard Cawthorne (Catching Milat). Series creator and director, Greg McLean will be returning and working alongside Tony Tilse – and of course, John Jarrett is returning as the one and only Mick Taylor.

This one sounds promising, so we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on news as it comes our way. Stay tuned.
