Shudder recently announced details on the first two episodes of their upcoming Creepshow series, and we could not be more excited. The series will combine the talents and creativity of genre staples like Greg Nicotero and Joe Hill. That much we already knew. But now some new details are surfacing on the first of six episodes, each of which will feature two stories.

The series will combine the talents and creativity of genre staples like Greg Nicotero and Joe Hill.

The first story of the premiere episode, Gray Matter, will be directed by Nicotero (The Walking Dead). Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi (The Commuter) adapted the screenplay from a short story in Stephen King’s 1978 collection, Night Shift. The episode will follow two old-timers who “brave a storm to check on Richie, an alcoholic single father, after encountering his terrified son at the local convenience store.”

In the second story, The House of the Head, John Harrison (Dune (2000), Tales From The Darkside) takes the helm in a story written by Josh Malerman (Bird Box). In it, a young girl discovers that her new dollhouse might be haunted. Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), Tobin Bell (SawBelzebuth) and Adrienne Barbeau (Creepshow (1982), Escape From New York) will all appear in the premiere episode.

The Creepshow series will premiere on September 26, 2019. You can check out the trailer and additional info in our earlier post.
