The loss of a child during childbirth is one of the most gut-wrenching experiences any parent has to endure. STILL/BORN takes such a tragedy, as the name suggests, and adds psychological tension and supernatural terror.

A new mother who only has one child survive birth believes a supernatural entity is set on taken her remaining child. It looks like STILL/BORN could explore the trauma mothers feel at the loss of a child, using the lens of the supernatural to explore those emotions.

We reviewed STILL/BORN last May. You can read the review here where it received a 6.5.

STILL/BORN is directed by relative newcomer Brandon Christensen working from a script written by Christensen and Colin Minihan (GRAVE ENCOUNTERS, IT STAINS THE SANDS RED). STILL/BORN stars Christie Burke (THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2), Jesse Moss (TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL, FINAL DESTINATION 3), Rebecca Olson (KILLING GUNTHER, HELL ON WHEELS).

STILL/BORN hits theaters and VOD February 9.
