Did the Superbowl teaser for the second season of Netflix hit Stranger Things get you pumped? Bummed that you have to wait until Halloween to decipher just what the heck was going on in that teaser? Us too.  There’s no denying that the inaugural season was a blast, but the throwback style captured nostalgia-loving hearts everywhere.

The series has become a source of inspiration for many, as evidenced by Glasgow based indie developer No Code’s newest PC game scheduled for release at the end of the month. Even the game’s poster was created by Kyle Lambert, who also designed the same for the Netflix series. As for the game itself, it takes on a vintage VHS aesthetic that sees the player playing through a video tape consisting of four episodes. So, it appears to be a horror anthology that plays out like a horror game within a horror game, and I’m so in. The mysterious teaser, also borrowing heavily from its clear influences, can be viewed below.

Stories Untold will be released by Devolver Digital on PC on February 27, 2017.

Stories Untold is a compilation tape of four episodes from the now cancelled series of the same name, including a remaster of the original pilot episode “The House Abandon”.
