So, we just saw the first teaser trailer to THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT, and we were rightfully hopeful about the sequel. The movie stars Martin Henderson, Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman, and looks gorgeous.

Since then, however, the official website for the movie has gone live—and it’s not your typical movie website with trailers, images from the set, release information and all those movie-making goodies. No, the site is asking for some very personal information—and it’s not for market research.

I was brave enough to give the site my name, email, phone number and address. What’s the worst that can happen, right? The site is trippy as you scroll through to the input boxes with various scenes from the trailer playing out in the background.

Once you submit your info, you may get an email like I did (below) with the subject line “hello Anthony Alaniz…hope to see you soon” with three smiley emojis. See—completely benign…right? RIGHT?

THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT theaters hits March 9, 2018. You can visit the site here and add your info, too, if you dare.
