Touted as a dark comedy, the premise indicates an emphasis on the word “dark.”  The very idea that someone is sharing your home, your safe space, without you ever being aware is a terrifying concept.  The debut clip, below, seems to be only the tip of the iceberg.  The sharing of toothbrushes, mouthwash, and other products all the while lead character Hussein is oblivious is both humorous and absolutely skin-crawling.  I have a feeling this narrative is going to get pitch black by the time the credits are through.

Starring Mim Shaikh, Javier Botet (Mama, [Rec], IT), Mandeep Dhillon, Kola Bokinni, and Michael McKella, the film was written by Rae Brunton and directed by Dominic Bridges.

Two Pigeons makes its world premiere tomorrow night, March 10, at 11:55pm in Austin, TX at SXSW.
