Period pieces can be especially spooky considering the rampant religiosity of the time, and THE APPEARANCE seems to fit right in. After the death of a medieval monk, the Church sends an inquisitor to investigate an alleged witch who could be behind the mysterious death and other haunting happenings. However, when he arrives, there are more mysterious and unexplainable deaths. He must find out what’s going wrong before he, too, is seduced by the evil.

THE APPEARANCE trailer is haunting – from it’s dark and dreary set pieces to the odd cast of characters with clear ulterior motives. Everything about the trailer exudes some sort of chilly uneasiness that certainly makes us excited to see the film.

THE APPEARANCE is written and directed by Kurt Knight. The movie stars Jake Stormoen, Kristian Nairn, Adam Johnson, Michael Flynn, and Baylee Self. You can check out the trailer below.

When a medieval monk unexpectedly dies in a horrific way, the Church sends Mateho the Inquisitor, a rational man of science, to investigate the alleged ‘witch’. When Mateho himself becomes implicated as more monks die mysteriously, he must learn that science cannot explain the horrors around him, before he is seduced by the evil that haunts this monastery.
