THE EXORCIST director William Friedkin is diving back into the religiously demonic with a new documentary. In 2016, Father Gabriele Amorth invited Friedkin to witness a real-life exorcism. THE DEVIL AND FATHER AMORTH is a documentary of Friedkin’s experience, which is getting a limited release April 20 in New York and Los Angeles.

Amorth, official exorcist of the Diocese of Rome, takes Friedkin on an exorcism house call. The doc is more than just a look at one exorcist. Friedkin takes a look at exorcisms in the modern world, interviewing a plethora of people.

After its limited release, THE DEVIL AND FATHER AMORTH will get a worldwide release.
