A new Suspiria trailer gives us a peek at what to expect from the upcoming movie, and boy, does it look creepy. There’s little blood or gore in the trailer, but that doesn’t make it any less disturbing. Luca Guadagnino directs, and it looks like Suspiria is filled with haunting images, evocative lighting, uncomfortable camera angles, and an unrelenting gaze at the macabre. Yes, it lacks the wild colors of the original, but that doesn’t make it any less uncomfortable.

Suspiria is filled with…an unrelenting gaze at the macabre.

The trailer doesn’t give us many plot details, but the story does follow a world-renowned dance company, dark secrets, and witches. Too many details could spoil the fun.

Guadagnino directs a script written by David Kajganich. Suspiria stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, Jessica Harper and Chloë Grace Moretz. Suspiria hits theaters Nov. 2.

Plot Synopsis

A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director (Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf). Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.
