If my friends and I were ever stuck between a forest fire and a land slide and found ourselves forced to seek shelter in an old mining shaft, I would still have hope for survival. However, if you were to add the lovely–yet twisted Soska sisters, mutated miners, and demented psychopaths–I would definitely have a much more grim outlook on life. Nevertheless, that’s the high-level overview for the upcoming horror release from Tombstone Entertainment, BLACKBURN.

BLACKBURN is a 3Brane Entertainment production written by Nastasha Baron and directed by Lauro Chartrand. The film stars horror movie vetrans–Lochlyn Munro, Jen and Sylvia Soska, Emilie Ullerup, Sarah Lind, and Calum Worthy. BLACKBURN will be rated R and available on August 2nd 2016. For now, check out the stills, trailer, and poster art below and let us know what you think.

A forest fire and rock-slide trap five bickering college friends in a small Alaskan ghost town with a horrifying history. When they seek refuge inside the torched ruins of Blackburn Asylum, they must fight to survive as the angry inhabitants slaughter the friends one-by- one.
