It’s been a while since we’ve gotten an update on the 2015 Turkish horror NACIYE [Review]. The film premiered at least year’s Screamfest, and it’s one of those films that seems to be taking an unusually long time to find US distribution. Unfortunately, today’s news doesn’t bring us any new information on that front, but it’s great for the filmmakers and any Turkish readers that we may have!

NACIYE is getting a theatrical release in director Lufu Emre Cicek’s home country of Turkey on March 11th, 2016 courtesy of Chantier Films. For what it’s worth, the film has scored an 18+ rating in Turkey which is comparable to our NC-17 rating here in the United States. To celebrate, we have a new trailer, a new poster, and a behind the scenes clip for you all to check out. So get to it! Having seen the film, I can attest to its quality. If the trailer looks like something you’d be into, make some noise on social media to let them know you’d like to see a release in YOUR area–wherever that may be.

A pregnant couple (Esin Harvey, Gorkem Mertsoz) travels for the weekend to check on the house they rented on a whim for the remainder of the pregnancy. On their first night at the secluded home they encounter the dangerous woman, (Alabora) who claims to be its rightful owner.
