Darknet is officially the first TV series that we are covering here on Modern Horrors. It doesn’t actually air on television here in the United States, but to my understanding, it does air on Super Channel in Canada under the slightly different title; Darknet Files. Luckily, all 6 episodes are available on Netflix here in the States.

What is Darknet? Here is how the Wiki explains it:

Each episode features several different stories that revolve around people in various different horror related situations. Each story is related to a website called “Darknet”, where people can post questions or answers to various topics such as what would be the best way to dispose of a corpse
Simply put, It’s kind of like short little episodes of V/H/S…except better. More importantly, I have yet to see a single episode that features a goddamn zombie. This pleases me to no end. Each episode’s segments also tie into one another. As if each one exists in a universe of its own. That adds significantly to the mystery after you start noticing the trend.

Darknet also has a super cool website that is exactly like the one seen n in the series. Complete with video clips, comments, and more. It’s an appreciated extra touch and really helps cement this universe that is being created for the viewer.

I’m 4 episodes deep, and I already cannot wait for season 2. Too bad that the current season didn’t wrap until March 28, 2014. We could be waiting a while. If that’s the case, we will certainly be keeping you up to date each step of the way on what is without a doubt the best thing going on in horror TV.

Stay tuned!
