April 2020 Streaming: Horror on Shudder, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and HBO

I am sure by now everyone is tired of hearing the word quarantine so I promise you this is the one and only time I’ll use it in this piece. Before I go on talking about the titles becoming available to stream while in solidarity, let me begin by saying thank you to all the streaming sites for putting up more new movies up to no only keep us entertained while we are stuck indoors but to catch up on titles we missed in theaters. Shudder is hands down the best streaming service for horror fans. They aren’t adding many new titles but they are giving us the Cursed Film series where every week a movie or two will be discussed in debt about its myths and doomed stories.

Netflix is adding a few genre films here and there but to be honest, the best thing being added this month on Netflix is The Matrix. Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO are the real MVPs this month. Not only are they adding some great films to satisfy horror fans but cinephiles as well. Hulu will be adding Oscar winner Parasite (yes I know this is not horror but I had to inform everyone reading this). And if you missed It: Chapter 2 and Robert Eggers’s The Lighthouse last year and this month is your chance to catch it.
