Dark Sky Films and Snowfort Pictures are teaming up yet again with their multi-picture deal with writer/director Ted Geoghegan (We Are Still Here) for the upcoming title MOHAWK. Set to star in the horror/action film is Hemlock Grove alumni Kaniehtiio Horn. The lineup also includes WWE superstar Jon Huber (better known as Luke Harper in the WWE universe), Justin Rain of the SYFY series Defiance, and Noah Segan from the 2014 horror film Starry Eyes.

Travis Stevens, producer of MOHAWK, is quoted to say “From Rey in The Force Awakens, to Fury Road’s Furiousa, to Wonder Woman, and Jessica Jones, action audiences have shown a voracious appetite, for strong, well-written female characters.” he goes on to say “We’re excited to work with Dark Sky Films and Tiio (Kaniehtiio) Horn, and introduce the character of ‘Okwaho’ to the diverse pantheon of action heroines, who have come before her.

Director Ted Geoghegan said, “MOHAWK is a hard-hitting action-horror that subverts traditional genre tropes while delivering a timeless tale of good versus evil. We look to deliver a horrifying home invasion film, where the home is North America itself.

After the success of We Are Still Here, these bold words have definitely piqued my interest. Look for Modern Horrors to bring you continuous coverage on MOHAWK as news comes our way. Stay tuned.
