‘Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich’ Gets August Release Through RLJ Entertainment
I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was very excited for PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH. The 1989 original was one of the first horror movies I saw before the age of five thanks to some very liberal parents. It’s a staple of my childhood, and the latest entry in the franchise, which recently premiered at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans, is receiving positive reviews. Luckily, there will be little waiting as the movie is getting a (likely limited) theatrical release in August.
The plot follows a recently divorced man that returns to his childhood home where he finds a nefarious looking puppet he decides to sell for some quick cash at a small-town convention. There, something reanimates the puppets as they go on a violent killing spree.
PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH, written by S. Craig Zahler (BONE TOMAHAWK, BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99), is directed by Sonny Laguna (WE ARE MONSTERS) and Tommy Wiklund (WITHER). The cast is packed with stars including Thomas Lennon. Jenny Pellicer, Nelson Franklin, Charlyne Yi, Michael Pare, Barbara Crampton, and the iconic Udo Kier.
As soon as there’s a trailer, you can bet we’ll have it for you. Stay tuned.
