Do you happen to be a fan of films like The ABCs of Death, Turbo Kid, and The Greasy Strangler? The demented minds behind those projects have a new, exciting project on the horizon, which alone would be something worth getting excited about. But of course producer Ant Timpson and Alamo Drafthouse CEO/Founder Tim League would put their innovative minds to use and take things a giant step further; they’ve changed the crowd funding game in a massive way.

The project in question, The Field Guide to Evil, is an anthology horror film that will explore dark folktales from across the globe, bringing together eight fantastic international filmmakers.  The director line-up has me salivating with names like Can Evrenol (Baskin), Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure), and Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy).

This anthology also marks the first film project to offer equity financing, which gives fans the opportunity to become a true partner in the production of this film. This is being offered from Indiegogo and MicroVentures through their funding portal First Democracy VC. This is a true gamechanger, not only in crowd funding film projects, but in the approach to indie filmmaking. More details can be found here.
