Ash demonstrated his ineptitude for problem solving in Season 1 by summoning the weakest demon from the Necronomicon as a way to learn how to stop the impending doom.  That demon was Eligos, a demon of the mind that caused a lot of pain and suffering over the course of multiple episodes for Ash and his plucky sidekicks.  With the hell that was literally unleashed at the end of the season, you can expect that our trio will have to face even greater lethal threats.

One of which is Baal, played by Joel Tobeck (Sons of Anarchy). When Baal is released from the underworld, our team will face an enemy more powerful than any that have come before. One with bigger plans than just destroying Ash as well as a secret link to Ruby.  If Ruby struggles against more powerful demons, like Baal, then our crew is in for some serious hurt.

Baal rounds out a cast led by Bruce Campbell in the role of Ash Williams; Lucy Lawless as Ruby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon; Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash’s loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin; and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against The Evil Dead. Lee Majors  Ted Raimi, and Michelle Hurd join the cast this year as Brock Williams, Ash’s father, Chet Kaminski, Ash’s childhood best friend, and Linda, Ash’s high school love respectively.

Season 2 premieres on October 2nd, 2016 on Starz.

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.
