Spain is no stranger to the horror genre, but films from that region often focus on atmosphere and tension. That’s not a bad thing. In fact, many people prefer that over the balls-to-the-wall “assault on the senses” approach that many genre films take these days. That appears to be where México Bárbaro lies. In that “balls-to-the-wall “assault on the senses” space. And my body is ready.

I love anthology films of all kinds, but a film that carries the minimalistic synopsis of “Many trash shorts stories about horror, violence, necrophilia and many other awful things” gets an automatic special place in my horror-loving heart. The film has screened at a handful of screenings, and now we finally have a U.S. release date to share with you courtesy of Dark Sky Films. Expect to see it November 3rd on both digital and DVD; uncut and unrated. Until then, check out the trailer below:
