While the basic premise, in which a new party drug makes party-goers turn psychotic and murderous, might not seem all that groundbreaking, there’s something immediately attention grabbing in the trailer for the new film by former Robert Rodriguez producer Aaron Kaufman.  That’s former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan taking on the role of sleazy drug dealer and club owner. If the trailer is any indication, Brosnan seems to really relish the immoral aspects of his character. Check it out below.

Co-written by Aaron Kaufman, Jason Zumwalt and Jerry Stahl, Urge also stars Ashley Greene, Danny Masterson, Alexis Knapp, Justin Chatwin, and Alison Lohman.

Urge is scheduled for release on June 3rd, 2016.

Plot Synopsis
A weekend getaway takes a dangerous turn when a mysterious nightclub owner (Pierce Brosnan) introduces a group of friends to a new designer drug. Stripped of their inhibitions, they start living out their wildest fantasies – but what starts out as a fun night of partying quickly turns deadly, as the island paradise deteriorates into a tropical madhouse.
