I think we can pretty much file this under news that should surprise no one, but just five days after season two of the Starz hit show premiered an announcement has been made that season 3 is a definite go.  Those attending the Ash vs Evil Dead panel at the New York Comic-Con were the first to hear the fantastic, yet expected news.  After being moved to a competitive Sunday evening slot, the season 2 premiere saw a 14% viewer increase over the first season premiere.  I’d say that’s impressive. Well done, Starz.

Of course, we already called it that season 2 is well on its way to improving upon the first (review). Be sure to celebrate the renewal news by tuning in this Sunday. Hint: episode 2 sees Ash dealing with his most compromising and outlandish Deadite encounter thus far.

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.
