With the New Year only a few days away, it ‘s time to look at which horror movies await you on streaming sites in January. Over the course of 2016 we’ve seen Netflix improve the quality of their titles by adding some recent flicks. Hell, they’ve even claimed a few as “Netflix Originals”. January is no different. Netflix will be bringing some new-ish films, such as It Follows, Antibirth, and one of my personal favorites from 2016, Under the Shadow.

While Netflix shows huge improvement, Amazon and Hulu seem to be taking a step back. Amazon Prime is only adding one genre film next month, Swiss Army Man, and Hulu completely misses the mark by forgetting to add any recent or particularly surprising titles.The year seems to be kicking off a bit slow for us horror fans, and one can only hope to see further improvements over the new year.
