You guys remember Alexandre Aja? You know, the dude known for genre bloodbaths like High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes? Well he’s decided to take a break from producing mostly mediocre horror titles and return to the director’s chair with a completely different approach in the upcoming horror/ thriller THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX. Based on the 2005 bestseller novel and written by Liz Jensen, THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX is a story about a mysterious accident that leaves a boy in a coma and a psychologist obsessed with finding out what truly happened up on a particular cliff.

Today, Lionsgate released the trailer for the film which stars Jamie Doran, Sarah Gadon,Oliver Platt and Aaron Paul. But instead of blood and guts, there is a fantastic panorama of reality and fantasy that exudes an eerie vibe of what the film is going to be. This is yet another great example of how a trailer is suppose to be made–here’s to hoping this is the start of a trend. You’ll be able to lock eyes on the flick September 2nd.
