We’re always on the hunt for new and exciting works of horror, so when Christian Gridelli and Hunter Norris of DimeStore Films approached us with their new episodic podcast, No Better Lot, we knew we had to get involved. As connoisseurs of the strange and unique, No Better Lot resonated with the Modern Horrors team immediately. That’s why we’re so happy to announce that the series, which includes 6 episodes in total, will premiere exclusively on the Modern Horrors Podcast Network on October 30th–just in time for Halloween!

Described as a “surreal noir”, No Better Lot follows a man searching for answers in a strange and unusual town. Known simply as “Guy”, he must report back to the ominous “Company” which deployed him in order to return home. The deeper Guy digs into town’s mystery; however, the more severe (and permanent) the ramifications of his investigation are. It’s a thought provoking, Lynchian-esque slice of genre pie, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it.
