Perhaps it's a mental thing, but...

Replace the word “zombie” with “rabid, bloodthirsty creatures”, and you have my attention. Throw in the classic “friends go to the woods for a good time” backdrop, and you have me downright excited. I’m of course talking about Mark H. Young’s new film Feral. Young is the fella that brought us the underrated Tooth and Nail back in 2007. It was part of the 8 Films to Die For lineup that year.

Fast forward to 2015, and new set of images have hit the web from his latest work. Feral stars Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween, The Runaways), Olivia Luccardi (It Follows, Orange Is the New Black), Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects, The Walking Dead), Renee Olstead (Unfriended, Still Standing), Brock Kelly (Pitch Perfect, Days of Our Lives), George Finn (Time Lapse, Just Before I Go), andLandry Allbright. That’s a pretty solid cast!

We don’t have much more than these images and a plot synopsis, but we’ll be sure to keep you up to date with the latest news as it comes our way. Check it out:

A wild animal attacks six medical students on a weekend hike in the woods. One by one, they become infected with a “feral disease”, turning them into rabid, bloodthirsty creatures, and the vacation becomes a nightmare as they fight to survive each other.
