Adam Wingard’s The Guest is easily one of my favorite movies of the year. While it’s not 100% horror, it certainly has horror elements and is directed by one of the genre’s best directors. He’s so good, in fact, that the next time we see him directing a feature it will probably be a big studio picture — aka not a horror movie. So be sure to experience this film and appreciate it before he sails off and helms the next $100 million dollar Mark Wahlberg movie.

The Guest boasts sleek, stylized violence, story develpoment that really leaves you invested in the consequences of the characters’ actions, and easily the greatest horror soundtrack of this, or any year. You will definitely hear us talking about it in this week’s upcoming podcast where we give out our yearly awards, so go get it on iTunes right now.
