Adrián García Bogliano should be a recognizable name to the horror genre die-hards out there. But if it’s not ringing any bells then perhaps his previous works, HERE COMES THE DEVIL and LATE PHASES will jar some fond memories of werewolves and creepy-ass children. We’ve been waiting on concrete release information regarding Bogliano’s latest film, SCHERZO DIABOLICO, for quite some time, and now we finally have a release date (and an oddly voyeuristic clip) to share with you fine folks.

Look for the film to hit VOD platforms on May 3rd, 2016. That’s just over a month away, so be sure to check out the official synopsis, clip, and poster below while you wait. We’ll have a full review ready for you as always just prior to release, so stay tuned.

Aram is a wearied accountant with an unbearably dull existence. With a nagging wife who berates him for not being assertive enough, and a measly paycheck, he quietly suffers while awaiting a long-deserved promotion. But there’s more to Aram than his mild-mannered demeanor lets on: he has been secretly devising a scheme to finally get what he feels he is owed. One day he asserts his power menacingly when he kidnaps a schoolgirl and keeps her tied up in an abandoned warehouse. What seems like the perfect plan soon unravels into his worst nightmare, and his carefully constructed scheme comes crashing down piece by bloody piece.
