It’s not every day that we get a film sent over that boasts “the occult, Brazilian folklore, and black slavery” as influences, but I’ll be goddamned if it didn’t grab our attention. Of course, I suppose it’s not all that surprising considering that THE DEVIL LIVES HERE is being brought to us by the twisted minds at Artsploitation Films.

We’ll have a full review for you in the near future, but until then, check out the debut trailer for what is sure to be the feel good film of the season.

Plot Synopsis
Three friends, Ale, Magu and Jorge, go on a trip to visit their friend Apolo at his family’s farm for a weekend of fun. At the same time, Sebastião and his younger brother Luciano are getting ready to perform the spiritual ritual their family has been tasked with every nine months, for centuries. On the night the two groups meet, they find out that what they thought were scary tales becomes more than real. It is now up to them to prevent evil to be born and take over the world.
