After a lengthy festival run, and no small amount of turmoil, One Cut Of The Dead will finally get a theatrical release in the US. The all new trailer for the zombie-comedy from writer/director Shinchiro Ueda promises copious amounts of heart, gore, and bodily fluids, along with this very appropriate spoiler warning:

The film will open in New York and LA on September 13, 2019, followed by a series of one night-only events across the country on September 17th. Check out www.onecut-movie.com for theaters and showtimes in your city. Most viewers would probably agree that One Cut is best experienced in a full theater, so grab your friends and go check it out!

So, if you haven’t seen it already, take Shudder’s advice and skip the trailer. You can check out our spoiler-free review from Fantasia 2018, and go get your tickets today. While shooting a low-budget zombie film in an abandoned warehouse, the crew find themselves caught between actual zombies and a mad director who won’t stop rolling. If you think you know what happens next, think again. Filmmaker Shinichiro Ueda turns the film on its head more than once for one of the wildest, funniest, and most surprising zombie movies of all time.
