You may or may not recall a then 13 year old Emily DiPrimio stealing our horror loving hearts in September 2013, when she launched a Kickstarter campaign with her father in hopes of directing her first feature film. A feature film that she also co-wrote, mind you.  The horror community embraced this ambitious young girl and the campaign was a huge success.

Here we are two years later and the film is finally gearing up for release.  Little Red Wagon Films has been hard at work wrapping up post-production and sending out screeners to distributors, so there’s still no firm release date, yet.  Though the expectation is sometime before the end of year.  That’s not slowing down Emily, however, as she’s already hard at work on Violet, a supernatural web series being  produced by legendary horror director Eli Roth for Crypt TV.

To tide us over until we can finally see what Emily has accomplished, a second trailer has been released.  While the first trailer focused more on plot, this trailer opts to capture the style and atmosphere.  I’ll admit, I was far more hooked by the first trailer, but I still can’t wait to see the finished product.

Carver is about a group of teenagers who are haunted by a despicable act they committed on Halloween when they were younger. Their actions caused the deaths of three innocent people. Now, on the anniversary of those deaths, an ominous calling card in the form of a carved pumpkin has been placed at each of their homes. Someone is out for revenge. The question is…who?
