Way back in January of 2016, we reviewed a little indie Werewolf flick by the name of UNCAGED; you’ve probably seen it pop up on Netflix by this point. There’s no denying that it left a bit to be desired as a horror film, but goddamn it was funny. In fact, it was so funny that I could easily look past its shortcomings.  All I wanted was more wacky scenarios and hilarious dialog, and for whatever reason, I’ve found myself wondering what would be next for writer/actor Zack Weiner and the team at Stag Pictures. Surprisingly enough, they’ve already finished filming their follow up, and it’s way different than expected.

The team says they’ve listened to the feedback received around UNCAGED, both good and bad, and used that experience to create their latest horror feature, PLEDGE. Now that filming is complete, the team has headed to Kickstarter to gather a modest $12k for post production costs. I know, another crowdfunding campaign, but I have a good feeling about this one. Better yet? A fully polished trailer is included in the campaign video that you can watch below.

You guys know the drill at this point. We don’t share this type of stuff unless we get good vibes; both from the pitch video and from actual conversation with the filmmakers themselves. These are good dudes that are looking to contribute something exciting into the genre that we all love so much, so let’s help them out if we can. Head over to the campaign page for more details on PLEDGE.

PLEDGE is Stag Pictures’ second feature film. It follows a trio of socially outcast freshmen, awe-struck by the opportunity to pledge what they believe is an exclusive college fraternity. In the vein of modern classic thrillers such as Green Room and The Invitation, our characters’ situation turns out to be far more sinister than they could have imagined.
